PERPETUAL CONSTRUCTION! We continue to
stir the pot - please bear with us and visit again...you never know what
you'll find! Connexus was founded by Throop C. Brown sixteen years ago, but Brown has been a respected professional philatelist for over 39 years. During this time he has served as a reference for all manner of stamp query. He is a member of the APS, ASDA, and ARA. The stones component is nurtured by Karen Sheaffer
Brown, with A LOT of help from her
son and friends. Her work includes garden pieces (glass, cement,
and an assortment of other media) as well as cabochon (fused glass)
jewelry. Unique items include glass vessels, pendants, earrings, bracelets, hair
ornaments as well as window adornments. And then
there are Karen's "plant people"... Her glass work, as well as
vintage postcards, can be viewed (and purchased) at the Garden of
Eden in the Shops of Steele Street in downtown Sanford
North Carolina. Also, be sure to check out the Garden's home-made
soaps, especially the ones made from goat's milk - they are absolutely wonderful! The Shops of Steel Street is located downtown at the corner of Steele and Carthage Streets in Sanford.. The "Shops" encompass a variety of separate spaces operated by several different vendors. Call 919-777-6959 for hours and directions. Original glass creations by Karen Sheaffer Brown can also be found at the Chatham Arts Gallery in Pittsboro NC and the new West Raleigh Street Gallery in Siler City where she maintains a studio. Vintage postcards can also be purchased at the gallery. While visiting you can also express your own inner artist by painting your own pottery! Call 919-663-6278 if you'd like to visit. If you can't see us at one of our shows...
